More Info
The Diocese of Shreveport proudly provides tuition assistance through our central fund and partners like Arete Scholars. For more information regarding additional financial aid opportunities, we encourage parents to contact individual Catholic schools within our diocese.. Many schools maintain their own scholarship programs, memorial funds, parish subsidies, or special grants that can help bridge the gap between tuition costs and what families can afford. These school-based assistance programs may have different eligibility requirements, application processes, and award structures than diocesan-level funding.
We encourage families seeking financial assistance to contact their child’s Catholic school directly to learn about all available options. School administrators and financial aid coordinators can provide comprehensive information about combining multiple funding sources—including diocesan assistance, Arete Scholars, school-specific scholarships, and any other local opportunities—to create a complete financial aid package for your family. Early communication with your school is essential, as application deadlines and funding availability can vary. Don’t hesitate to have an open conversation about your family’s needs and explore every avenue of support available within our Catholic school community.
