Since its founding in 1882 by Fr. Joseph Gentille through his own savings to serve the growing Catholic community of north Louisiana, St. Joseph Cemetery has served as a peaceful, enduring resting place for generations of faithful. Understanding both the spiritual and practical needs of families, the Diocese offers burial plots at significantly lower cost compared to national averages—making dignified Catholic burial accessible.

Includes:

  • Nearly 100 sections including plots, crypts, a Garden Mausoleum and a Chapel Mausoleum — providing over 200 interred tombs.

  • More than 500+ plots presently available, with additional plots being prepared for future needs.

  • A digital archival database of interred individuals over the past 100+ years, along with cemetery prayer services, clean-up days and genealogical study opportunities.
